The bead blasting process is similar to pressure washing, but uses an abrasive media instead of water. Different types of media can be used to achieve a desired finish. Some examples are, walnut shells, sand, aluminum oxide and glass beads, which is the most commonly used. Surface texture does not change after anodizing therefore bead blasting is a technique used to dull/matte the finish of parts. Bead blasting is mainly focused on improving the appearance of a component. This type of work is often referred to as a cosmetic finish. Arnold's Metal Finishing uses material components along with our own unique touch for making this process far superior to our competition and their standards.
