If you are looking for the best durability, look no further, in Arnold’s Metal Finishing we are Certified for do type 3 Hard Anodize. Offering aggressive wear resistance, for products intended for use in a hostile or highly corrosive environment. Our hard-anodizing coating is much harder and thicker than standard decreasing coatings. By using this process on your aluminum, you can expect to rival or overcome the hardness of the steel. One of the main purposes of hard anodizing is to make aluminum more resistant to corrosion. The thicker oxidized layer protects the finished part from exposure to moisture, oxygen and other factors. Sealed items are even more resistant to corrosion.
We offer certification for:
- Anodize per MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 1 Clear
- Anodize per MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 2 Color
We can provide a wide variety of colors. But for parts that require a hard-anodized color, the customer must keep in mind that the color will be darker than normal.
